The Art Center is located at 338 East Howell Street in downtown Hartwell at the intersection of Howell and Carolina Streets. The main floor large multipurpose room provides space for a wide variety of needs from a solo artist exhibit, to a small wedding reception or a full gallery show. Classes may take place in either the back or front room on the first floor. A small ceramic studio is also available. On the second floor, there is a studio for classes in clay with wheels, throwing block and modern digital kiln.

The Arts Center may be rented on an event basis. There is a small kitchen in the back of the first floor complete with refrigerator, microwave, linens, glassware, silverware, and dishes. The room is large enough to prepare food for meetings and receptions. Tables and folding chairs are provided with your rental fee. Restrooms are easily accessible on the first floor for your activity without interference from outside individuals or groups.

The rental/lease fee is set by the Board of Directors. One time usage fee is $175 which includes a $50 security deposit for use of the building, members of the council receive a discount. Monthly usage for meetings or classes is negotiated with the board. An agreement must be signed.
